    nylon webbing vs. grosgrain

does anyone know what the real diffence between grosgrain and nylon webbing is? is one more durable? is one more lightweight? thanks for any advice. i'm thinking of making a night wing and was thinking of adding a few extra tie out loops to increase versitility and pitching options.

    Re: nylon webbing vs. grosgrain

Grosgrain is a form of webbing with a much lighter weave and base fiber. Like other types of webbing, it can be woven from either nylon or polyester.

Since it is lighter and thinner it's not as good in applications where abrasion is a factor. However, for tieouts it works perfectly fine.
