Hi All,
I live in Tasmania, Australia, the home of some amazingly beautiful bushwalking country. I'm currently getting back into bushwalking after many years off and I'm putting together a lightweight collection of gear. I will definitely be getting a SMD backpack shortly, but I'm also interested in the Lunar Solo and Duo tents. I noticed a photo from one "Darren Stephens" of a lunar solo in Tasmania, and I was hoping to contact him, or somebody who kew him, to find out how the tent performed under Tasmanian conditions. For those unfamiliar with Tasmania, conditions here can go from sunny and warm (20C) to windy, cold, (-5C), and wet in a few minutes in the highlands. Oh, and we get random ocurrences of snow as well, but usually not huge dumps.
To be honest, I don't thinks ithe snow is totally random, it usually ocurrs when I'm out bushwalking... :)
So, I know you list the Lunar tents as "3 season" but that means different things to different people. I was hoping to get some view from people who had used either tent of how they perform under difficult conditions. Probably my main concern would be how either tent copes with strong gusty winds, combined with heavy rain.
Thanks in advance to anybody who reads this and replies.
Cheers,
Stuart
